Ramadan 2026 “The Cultural Bridge” Terms and Conditions

The Promoter

The promoter is: Taptap Send UK Limited (the “Promoter” or “Taptap Send”). Taptap Send is authorised by the FCA under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (FRN: 900842) for the issuing of electronic money.

The competitions

Taptap Send is running a competition over the Ramadan period for followers of its @taptapsendng Instagram page to give them the opportunity to win Taptap Send credit or gift vouchers.

The competitions will be run on Instagram only and will require participants to post UGC videos and make comments on the @taptapsendng Instagram page.

How to enter

The competitions will run from Wednesday, February 20, 2026, to Friday, March 21, 2026 (inclusive).

The campaign runs with a different theme and entry method each week. Taptap Send must receive all competition entries within the timeframe of that specific weekly phase. Entries received after the weekly deadline are automatically disqualified for that phase's prize.

Week 1 (Feb 20 – Feb 24): The Sahur Ritual

How to Enter: Create a short video (max 2 minutes) showing the raw, unfiltered side of Ramadan—waking up at 4:00 AM alone vs. the memory of being woken up by family or mosque prayers in Nigeria. Focus on the human element. Post the video, tag @TaptapSendNG, and send a collaboration request.

Winners: 3 winners will be selected based on the most likes on the eligible videos.

Prizes: $300, $200, and $100 in Taptap Send bonus credits.

Week 2 (Feb 25 – Mar 3): The Diaspora Hustle

How to Enter: Create a short video (max 2 minutes) documenting the "Diaspora Struggle"—balancing work, school, or business while fasting. Show how you maintain composure despite temptations, and share one "Taptap Hack" that made your day easier. Post the video, tag @TaptapSendNG, and send a collaboration request.

Winners: 3 winners will be selected based on the most likes on the eligible videos.

Prizes: $300, $200, and $100 in Taptap Send bonus credits.

Week 3 (Mar 4 – Mar 10): The Iftar Connection

How to Enter: Create a short video (max 2 minutes) showing your Iftar table. Compare your meal abroad to the "communal noise" and specific dishes (Akara, Moin-Moin) happening at your family's home in Nigeria. Mention the "Bridge" between both tables. Post the video, tag @TaptapSendNG, and send a collaboration request.

Winners: 3 winners will be selected based on the most likes.

Prizes: $300, $200, and $100 in Taptap Send bonus credits.

Week 4 (Mar 11 – Mar 18): The Peace & Impact Phase

How to Enter: Go to @TaptapSendNG's "Ramadan Learnings" post. In the comments section, share one lesson on the "Religion of Peace" learned this month. You must tag 5 friends and include the ☪️ symbol in your comment to qualify.

Winners: 30 winners will be selected based on the most likes on their comments.

Prizes: $30 each in Taptap Send bonus credits.

Grand Prize: 1 return flight ticket to Mecca for the winner with the overall highest number of likes on the video entries (Week 1 to Week 3 winners inclusive)

Receive Prize: All winners will be contacted via DM by Taptap Send to verify their details. Bonus credits will be added to the winners’ Taptap Send accounts.

Ties: In the event of a tie in the number of likes, winners will be determined by reference to another visible engagement metric, namely the number of comments on each tied participant’s post or replies to their comment.

No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.

By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

There is a limit of one entry per person per week. Winners will not be eligible to win another weekly prize but will remain eligible for the grand prize.

Eligibility

The competition is only open to residents of the EU (with the exception of the Czech Replublic, Finland, Slovakia, Italy, and Portugal), Canada, Australia, the UK, and the US (with the exception of Nebraska, North Dakota, and Vermont), aged 18 years or over, except:

  • employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
  • employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
  • members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.

In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.

The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:

  • automatically generated by a computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications); or
  • completed by third parties.

The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

The prize

Selection of Winners: A total of 39 winners (9 winners from Week 1-3, and 30 winners in Week 4) will be selected based on the first eligible participant to have the highest number of likes on their videos (Week 1-3) or comments (Week 4), announced sequentially as described in the table in Schedule 1.

Prizes: The aggregate value of the prizes is $5,200, which will be distributed among the 39 winners, which is inclusive of $2700 in Taptap Send bonus credits and a return ticket to Mecca for the grand prize winner, per the table in Schedule 1.

Contest Duration: Entries are open from February 20, 2026, to Friday, March 18, 2026.

Announcement of Winners: Challenge winners will be announced from Wednesday, February 25, to Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Grand prize winners will be announced on or before Saturday, March 25, 2026.

Winners Selection: Winners will be announced publicly on the @taptapsedng Instagram page, per article 5.4.

Claiming Prizes: Winners must send their Taptap Send email address via Instagram to claim their prize.

Disqualification: Taptap Send reserves the right to disqualify any entries that are incomplete, indecent, or do not meet the campaign requirements.

The prizes are not refundable, exchangeable for cash, or usable as electronic money.

Winners will receive their prize in the currency of their Taptap Send account.

Winners

The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

Winners will be contacted via direct message on Instagram in order to obtain their Taptap Send account details so that the prize may be credited to their account.

Claiming the prize

The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winners. If a winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize by March 31st, 2026, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.

Winners should allow a minimum of 48 hours for their Taptap Send account to be loaded with their prize credit after they have provided their Taptap Send account details. The credit will automatically be applied for use on their next transaction.

The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights

By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:

  • assign absolutely to the Promoter all your intellectual property rights held in the competition entry with full title guarantee; and
  • waive absolutely all moral rights,

in and to your competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.

You agree that the Promoter may, in their sole discretion, make your entry available on its website and in any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence in perpetuity, for the full period of the intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.

Data protection and publicity

The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the Privacy Policy.

General

If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.

The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
