1. The Contest
1.1 Taptap Send, UK Limited. (”Taptap Send”) will run a referral contest (the “Contest”) for its customers in US, UK, EU, Australia, and Canada (subject to the geographical exclusions in Clause 3.2) sending remittances to Nigeria from April 14th to April 30th (the “Period”), whereby existing customers will be encouraged to refer new customers amongst their friends/family during the Period to win food baskets valued within $200 and $500.

1.2 Subject to completing the qualifying actions set out in section 2.3 below (the “Qualifying Actions”) within the Period, existing customers (each a “Referrer”) will participate in the Contest as follows:

(a) Top Referrers - The Referrer who completes the largest number of Qualifying Referrals (as defined under section 2.3 below)  will win $500 Value Nigerian Food Basket. The Referrers with the second (10 Winners) and third (15  Winners) largest number of Qualifying Referrals will receive $300 Value Nigerian Food Basket  and $200 Value Nigerian Food Basket respectively. The winning Referrers (the “Top Referrers”) will be announced on April 30th (the “Announcement Date”).

Original referral scheme - Taptap Send’s original referral programme (the “Referral Programme”) will remain in operation throughout the Period. As a result, the Referer and the referee will both remain eligible to earn the referral bonus as applicable for each successful referral. Please refer to the Taptap Send App to get your referral code and to access the Referral Programme terms and conditions (the “Referral Agreement”) for more details.

(b) Extra referral bonus - Other Referrers, who are not Top Referrers but who complete at least five (5) qualifying referrals during the Period, will be able to enjoy an extra bonus with referrals of new users as follows:
     (i) Referrers who complete a minimum of five (5) within the period, will receive an extra bonus credit of 100 in their currency in total (in addition to the referral bonus under the Referral Programme) to use in their Taptap Send App.
The extra bonuses described in (a) and (b) above are one-off and not cumulative with one another, nor with the Top Referrer bonus. For illustration purposes only, a Referrer completing five (5) Qualifying Referrals during the Period will receive an extra bonus credit of 100 in their currency in addition to the bonus earned for the five (5) referrals under the Referral Programme, so a total of US - 100+ 125, CA - 100+ 125,  AU - 100 + 100, EUR - 100 + 25, GBP - 100 + 25 credit. A Referrer completing five (5) Qualifying Referrals during the Period will receive an extra bonus credit of 100 in their currency in addition to the bonus earned for the five (5) referral under the Referral Programme, so a total credit of US - 225, CA - 225, AU - 200, EUR - 125, GBP - 125.

2. How to enter the Contest
2.1 The Contest will run from 06:00 GMT on April 14th to 23:59 GMT on April 30th (the "Closing Date") inclusive.

2.2 All Qualifying Referrals must be received by Taptap Send by no later than 23:59 GMT on the Closing Date. Any referrals made after this date will not be counted towards the total number of Qualifying Referrals for the purposes of the Contest.

2.3 To enter the Contest, the following Qualifying Actions must be undertaken during the Period:
(a) Successfully refer new customers to Taptap Send, who shall use the Referrer’s personal referral code found within the TTS App (the “Referee”). For the sake of clarity, a Referee is an individual who has not previously registered with the TTS App;

(b) Each Referee must then successfully sign up to Taptap Send;

(c) The Referee enters the referral code given by the Referrer;

(d) The Referee successfully uses the TTS App to transfer money to a person in Nigeria, other than the Referrer, in a manner that is compliant with these terms and conditions, the Referral Agreement and our Taptap Send User Agreement;

(e) The Referee's money transfer transaction is successfully executed and not canceled (either by the Referee or by Taptap Send) between 06:00 GMT on April 14th and 23:59 GMT on April 30th.
The Qualifying Actions are strictly cumulative, i.e., all conditions must be satisfied for the participant’s entry to be valid and to constitute a “Qualifying Referral”. Taptap Send reserves the right to impose and/or change minimum transfer limits at its discretion. These will be displayed in the TTS App to the Referee. Where a minimum transfer limit is in place, only transfers that exceed this limit will be a Qualifying Action.

Taptap Send reserves the right to change the list of Qualifying Actions and associated rewards at its discretion without prior notice. However, Qualifying Actions validly completed before the date of the change will be honored by Taptap Send.

2.4 By submitting a Qualifying Referral, you agree to be enrolled into the Contest and be bound by these terms and conditions and the Referral Agreement. If you do not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions and by the Referral Agreement, do not share your referral code.

2.6 Top Referrer will be the Referrer with the largest number of Qualifying Referrals made within the Period. In the event of a tie, the Referrer with the highest amount of Qualifying Referrals combined with the highest transfer volume of remittances sent during the Period by its Referees will be considered the winner.

3. Eligibility
3.1 The Contest is only open to customers of Taptap Send who are resident in US, UK, EU, Australia, and Canada (subject to the geographical exclusions in Clause 3.2), aged 18 years and above, and who complete Qualifying Referrals. The Referee must not be an existing Taptap Send customer between 06:00 GMT on April 14th and 23:59 GMT on April 30th.

3.2 This Contest is not open to residents in Italy, Portugal, UAE or the US states of Nebraska, North Dakota and Vermont.

3.3 In entering the Contest, you confirm that you are eligible to participate and eligible to claim the bonus if you win. Taptap Send may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Contest.

3.4 Taptap Send will not accept entries that are:
(a) automatically generated by computer;
(b) completed by third parties or in bulk; or
(c) incomplete.

3.5 Taptap Send reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Contest.

3.6 Only one registration per participant will be accepted. Subsequent registrations or money transfers with Taptap Send by the Referee do not qualify as Qualifying Referrals.

3.7 Money transfers initiated by the Referee after his or her first successful money transfer with Taptap Send, or referrals to a Referee who is a previous customer of the TTS App, do not qualify as Qualifying Referrals.

3.8 Taptap Send reserves the right to void any Qualifying Action or payment of any bonus that: (i) appears to be fraudulent; (ii) appears to have been created as a result of a fraudulent transaction; or (iii) that violates the terms of these no terms and conditions, this Referral Agreement or the Taptap Send User Agreement.


3.9 Taptap Send reserves the right to limit the number of individuals per household eligible for receiving a bonus.


3.10 Any attempt by a participant to abuse this Contest by using multiple/different identities, registrations, logins, and/or any other method we consider abusive, at our discretion, will void and disqualify the participant from receiving the bonus in Taptap Send’s sole discretion.

4. The cash prizes
4.1 The prizes will be awarded in order of the largest number of referrals:
● 1st Prize (1 Winner) – $500 Value Nigerian Food Basket (for 20+ referrals)

● 2nd Tier (10 Winners) – $300 Value Nigerian Food Basket (for 15–19 referrals)

● 3rd Tier (15  Winners) – $200 Value Nigerian Food Basket (for 10–14 referrals)

4.2 These prizes will be awarded as cash payments via bank transfer.

5. Taptap Send bonus credit awards
5.1 For Referrers who have completed more than five (5) Qualifying Referrals, Taptap Send will deposit the bonus credit in their account on the TTS App on or after the Announcement Date. The bonus will be displayed as a balance in the TTS App account.

5.2 Taptap Send does not guarantee a delivery time on any bonus credit granted.

5.3 You may apply your bonus credit against transactions which (i) would be permitted under the Taptap Send User Agreement; and (ii) meet the transaction size requirements shown in the TTS App prior to your transaction.

5.4 When you choose to apply your bonus credit against a particular transaction, your entire bonus balance will be applied against the transaction. Taptap Send is unable to apply partial amounts of your bonus balance.

5.5 By applying your bonus against a particular transaction, you increase the amount that your Recipient receives, without increasing the amount you pay from your Payment Method (as defined in the Taptap Send User Agreement). You will have an opportunity to review the amounts paid and received, and the bonus spent, prior to executing the transaction through the Taptap Send App.

5.6 Bonuses are not electronic money and are not refundable, even if the accompanying transaction is eligible to be refunded.

6. Bonuses expire ninety (90) days from the date that the relevant bonus is deposited into your Taptap Send account. Taptap Send will automatically deduct expired bonus from your bonus balance.

7. Winners
7.1 Taptap Send will contact the 26 Top Referrers personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided in their customer account details.

7.2 Referrers who have completed more than five (5) Qualifying Referrals will be automatically awarded their extra bonus credit as set out in section 1.4 above on or after the Announcement Date.

7.3 Please allow 30 days for delivery of the bonus credit into your customer account.

7.4 Prizes may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf. They may not be converted into cash.

7.5 Taptap Send will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winners. If a winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their bonus within 7 days from the Announcement Date, Taptap Send reserves the right to offer the bonus/prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.

7.6 Taptap Send does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize/bonus.

8. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW IN THE APPLICABLE JURISDICTIONS, IN NO EVENT SHALL TAPTAP SEND BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE REFERRAL PROGRAMME OR THE CONTEST, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE AND/OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TAPTAP SEND’S MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO PARTICIPANT AND ANY THIRD PARTY UNDER ANY AND ALL CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL BE THE THEN-CURRENT UNITED ARAB EMIRATES DIRHAMS VALUE OF THE PARTY’S UNSPENT REWARD.

9. ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS AND IMPLIED, REGARDING THE REFERRAL PROGRAMME AND USE OF THE TAPTAP SEND SERVICES ARE DISCLAIMED (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE DISCLAIMER OF ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND/OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE). TAPTAP SEND MAKES NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY WITH RESPECT TO ANY RESULTS OBTAINABLE THROUGH THE REFERRAL PROGRAMME OR THE DELIVERY TIME OF THE REWARDS.

10. Data protection and publicity
10.1 Taptap Send will only process your personal information as set out in the Privacy Policy.

11. General
11.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Taptap Send may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Contest.

11.2 Taptap Send reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Contest where it becomes necessary to do so at any time without notice. Resolution of all questions or disputes regarding eligibility for the Referral Programme or this Contest, earnings of bonus, or your compliance with the terms and conditions of this Contest shall be subject to our reasonable interpretation.


11.3 If a Participant or Referee attempts to use the Contest or the Referral Programme in breach of this agreement, the User Agreement or in violation of any law, statute or governmental regulation, we will have the right to suspend or terminate the account under the User Agreement or void the bonus of either party.
