How can I send money to Colombia?

You can send money via Taptap Send to bank accounts at Bancolombia, Davivienda, Nu Bank, and Grupo Aval banks in Colombia. You can also send money to the Nequi and DaviPlata digital wallets. In addition, you can choose to have cash picked up at authorized Grupo Éxito locations.

How much will you pay to send money to Colombia?

At Taptap Send, we do NOT charge a commission for transfers to Bre-B, Nequi, or Daviplata. However, in order to offer you the best rate, we do charge a fee for account deposits (only for transfers made from the United States) and cash pickups.

What can you do if you send money to the wrong person or number?

If you accidentally entered incorrect recipient information, please send us an email at support@taptapsend.com or colombia@taptapsend.com from your registered email address so we can review the situation with you.

Please verify all transaction details before sending money. We make it easy for you to change any transfer details before the final payment confirmation step. Once the payment has been processed, there may be changes that we cannot make.

What should you do if your bank transfer remains in “pending” status longer than expected?

This is likely due to one of the following issues with the recipient's account in Colombia:

Activating Automatic Payment for Bancolombia:

The recipient in Colombia must set up direct debit for their Bancolombia account in order to receive any type of international shipment.

Incorrect information in the recipient's details:

If the recipient's name is misspelled, a first or last name is missing, or the account number is incorrect, this will trigger a manual review by the bank, which may take up to 4 days.

Bank limits on receiving remittances:

The recipient may have reached the limit set by their bank (Davivienda, Bancolombia) for receiving remittances, preventing them from receiving additional funds.

If any of these issues are not resolved within 4 days, Taptap Send will automatically cancel the transfer and refund the money back to your account. For further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.
